If You Plan To Use ELT's LMS
What are the different ways I can create and manage users in your system?
You can create, modify, and remove users manually using the web interface. Alternately, you can use the batch operations interface to submit large numbers of changes to the system all at once. This works by submiting a a CSV or tab-delimited file outlining the user details you wish to affect.
What are the different ways I can report on user progress in your system?
You can use our online reporting system to report on user enrollments. This system allows you to indicate different criteria such as enrollment or completion date ranges and user status (e.g. - not started, in progress, completed). These reports can either be outputed to Excel or CSV file formats.
What options are there for notifying users of their enrollments? How can we remind them to complete their training?
Our robust email notification system allows you to tie enrollment emails to enrollment events in specific courses. It also allows for unlimited reminder emails to be sent at various day-interval after enrollment until the user completes their training. For example, the system could be configured to send an email upon enrollment and then remind the user at the 7, 14, and 21-day mark if they do not complete the training. Emails can be configured to appear to tbe coming from the someone at the client organization or clients can use an ELT address to maximize compatibility with spam filters and firewalls.
We have an intranet that I would like to integrate with ELT's LMS. What are my options?
ELT offers an optional Single Sign On interface that allows customers with intranet sites to seamlessly allow login to ELT's LMS without having to create the user beforehand. This option is available in both HTTP GET and POST methods, and is secured using HTTPS.
We have an HRIS or payroll system. Is there an easy way for me to exchange data between that system and ELT's LMS?
ELT offers an optional Automated Data Exchange service that allows your HRIS system to automatically submit batch operation jobs to ELT's LMS, as well as receive custom-written reports and record import files in a variety of text file formats (tab and pipe delimited, CSV, XML, etc).
I’m looking forward to this new phase of working even more closely with ELT to get thousands of King County employees trained on workplace harassment, and looking even more forward to the reductions of harassment claims and lawsuits in the near future.
